Native American Necklace 'Spider Web' Mother-of-Pearl/Turquois Spike Half-Double
This Necklace is handcrafted by Stephanie Yellowman, a Native American of the Navajo Tribe. The Mother-of-Pearl is of white color.
The six spikes on this unique necklace are made of Mother-of-Pearl and Turquois, each one measuring from ½ inch to 1 inch (1,25 to 2,5 cm) in length. This necklace measures approximately 19 inches in length (48 cm) with Liquid Silver on a mini cable with barrel clasp.
This necklace also includes Mother-of-Pearl and Turquois beads flanked by round silver beads.
Mother of pearl is the common name for iridescent nacre, a blend of minerals that are secreted by oysters and other mollusks and deposited inside their shells, coating and protecting their bodies from parasites and foreign objects.
Turquoise: One of the main stones that the Dine' (Navajo) use in their jewelry work and in religious ceremonies. It promotes healing and good luck.
